Woodbridge International Expands Team in Brazil

To better serve the growing demand for its mergers and acquisitions services from Brazilian middle-market companies, Woodbridge International has significantly expanded its professional team in the country with the addition of four accomplished investment bankers to its São Paulo-based team.

Senior M&A Advisors Rafael Mastrocola, Joao Belotti, Ricardo Belotti and Pedro Belotti will join the Woodbridge team of David Denton and Priscilla Schmieder in providing clients with the local knowledge, expertise and global reach they demand.

Rafael has worked for Banco Santander, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup in various senior positions related to capital markets, banking and asset management. He has extensive experience in business valuation and strategic analysis. Rafael holds a BA in Economics from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa with a specialization in M&A from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa.

Joao’s expertise is in financial modeling, valuation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and restructuring. Previously Joao worked for Ernst & Young Transaction and Advisory Services, where he participated in numerous valuation projects, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and operational and strategic analysis. Joao has a BA in Economics from the University of São Paulo and specialization in recovery and turnaround management from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa.

Pedro has over a decade of experience in global business development, particularly in the health care industry. He served as Director of International Business Operations responsible for strategy management and M&A coordination for Henry Schein’s International Dental Group. He has also successfully completed M&A and other strategic projects related to family- owned businesses across the globe. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from London Business School with specializations from GVLaw and Harvard Law School.

Ricardo Belotti has over 30 years of corporate finance and, M&A, Private Equity, asset management, privatization processes and project finance. Prior to opening his own consulting boutique, Ricardo was a partner at Brasilpar, one of the first private equity firms in Brazil. Ricardo has advised over 100 transactions for clients and holds an MBA from INSEAD with specialization in negotiation at Stanford, as well as a BA in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
